The easy plus for Wrench Werks is that they provide way better service than Audi Honolulu. I believe Audi gets most of their business from people who bought their cars there and sign up for service contracts for "convenience". If any of those customers shopped around, they'd realize how much they're overspending for IN-convenience at Audi (terrible communication, lack of mechanic skills, slow repairs, etc.) At Wrench Werks, the two agents I spoke with, Tanya and Barbara, were very professional and clearly explained what I needed to know. This is another thing in which there is no comparison, versus the unprofessional and insincere communication from most Audi service reps and managers. Sorry if this review sounds more like a rant against Audi Honolulu, but it's true: Wrench Werks is infinitely better than the other guys!

Excellent customer service provided by Tanya and Barbara. They were friendly, easy to talk to, and answered all my questions patiently. Barbara explained the work done on my car thoroughly. Furthermore, greatly appreciated that she explained which work needs to be done soon and the ones that can wait. The shop is also nice and clean.

When my 2017 VW AllTrack started making a grinding sound, I was told that I needed a new transmission and that any attempt to incrementally diagnose and fix the problem would end up being more hassle and problems. This "solution" came to the tune of anywhere from $15,000-13,000 dollars. I complained that at 65K I should not need a new transmission and as luck would have it I was just past my warranty. A goodwill offer was made to reduce the cost of this work but I was still on the hook for about $9000. I decided to get a second opinion from Wrench Werks and found out that it was my motor and transmission mounts that were shot as well as a leaking transmission cooler. All said and done, it came out to a lot less than $9000.00 and they also found some other issues that were missed by the previous shop. Wrench Werks saved my Alltrack and my $$$ and I will continue to enjoy this vehicle for its practicality and design.

After being told by the dealer that my 2017 VW AllTrack needed a new transmission at 65K to the est. cost of $15,000, Wrenchwerks is working incrementally to see what the cause of the problem really is. To be fair, the dealer did offer to pony up some money in a goodwill effort to cover the repair but that still left me looking at $9000+. At that kind of money I'd rather put it towards a down payment but for sure not a VW. It might end up that I do need a new transmission but it is the "way" in which the problem is being approached. Wrenchwerks were quick to return my call and examine the repair records and then set up an appointment. VW took weeks to be proactive in telling me what was going on until prompted by a bad review sent to me from VW corp. I absolutely "love" my AllTrack and was looking to at least 100k of use till I could move to an EV and even considered the ID4 or Buzz despite the software issues being reported. But this just burned me on the VW brand... great product till you get hosed. Mahalo to Wrenchwerks and hoping to get a few more years our of my vehicle.
